Toddler Development

Last week in my toddler class, I was so proud of the 12-15 month olds! They have mastered the tunnels! The first week when I brought the tunnels they would not go inside. I added balls, so I could throw them inside the tunnel. It has took them at least a month, but now they love them, and get really excited about it! Saute and Echappe

starsLast week I taught my 3 year old ballet class something new across the floor. We practiced saute (which they knew already) and added it with echappe. I let the music play and I put the stars on the floor like the picture above, a one and then two pattern. This helped them to see where they needed to jump their feet together and apart. I did it first and had them say the words out loud as I did it. Then I gave them a try. They loved it, and I think most importantly they will remember the vocabulary too!
