Working on Tendus? Here’s an idea that came to me as I was explaining tendus to my 4-5-6 year olds. We were working on counting, so we would slide our foot out for three counts 1……2…….3……. and then on the count 4 we would pull it back quick to close. On 4! I would say that alligators were going to get their toe if they didn’t close it fast enough. Gotta be quick! It was a hit!
I put my arms straight out and clap real loud on 4 like an alligator. I love that it teaches them to count, to move slow and then quick. It’s just something silly that popped into my head and it turned out to be successful. Now, when ever I teach tendus I will turn to the alligators for help!
Alligator Tendus, who would of thought? 🙂
Do you have a creative way to teach tendus? I would love to hear!
