The Bossy Frog Band

Dear readers, my awesome friend Liz mentioned in passing that I should check out The Bossy Frog Band. Uhhh, it’s amazing! You have to check it out. It’s smart, and so ideal for incorporating into creative dance class. My fave is the Nature Freeze Dance. The Nature Freeze Dance gives spaces for freezing (making shapes), free dancing, animals to dance like, slow and fast, and a directive clap hands and stomp feet all in the same song! Can you believe it?

Have you heard of this band? Do you use any music similar to this? I love discovering new music that is perfect for class. Perfect songs are hard to find. I am very picky about the music I use, but I was so happy to discover this! After all,  just like introducing our littles to new movements, it’s our job to introduce them to different types of music too. Right?

Check out the link above, try it out and let me know what you think! I found all the songs on itunes. :)

  • Hi! I am a dance teacher, living in S. Korea at the moment and have LOVED reading through your blog this evening. I will be starting my first Mommy and Me class this Thursday and I found you whilst googling for Toddler Dance inspiration! Thank you for all of your wonderful ideas! I will surely be back for more:) Some of my fave new kiddo albums have been Bright Stars Twinkle Toes Preschool dance class, and good ol’ Raffi!

  • Hi Maria,
Thanks for writing about us in your blog! We love making music that gets everyone moving and pretending. Freeze Dancing is one of our favs. Hopefully you can stop by and say hi next time we’re performing in the city.
    All the best,
Jeffrey of The Bossy Frog Band
