Look! I made Ribbon Rings! Yes, I made them! I tried to buy them, but I just couldn’t find the perfect ones for my little dancing friends. Want to know how I did it? Here’s the step by step…
First I went to the hardware store and bought curtain rod rings. They have all colors, brown, black, I went with silver/grey. I thought it would be the best option for littles.
Then I went to the craft store and bought ribbon. You can do any color you want! That is the fun part!
Next I unscrewed the screws out of the rods and cut the ribbon. I just measured how long I wanted the ribbons to be and then used that to cut all the colors.
Then I was ready to make them! Easy schmezy!
I began to tie the ribbons on the rings, making sure the knots are double and the ribbons hanging down are pretty much the same size.
Viola! 14 Ribbon rings ready to get into the hands of energetic 2, 3, and 4 year olds!
What do you think? Fun, right?! Have you ever made a craft to use as a prop with your students? I can’t wait to show them. I know they will just love have a blast with them!

This is so clever Maria! How will you use them in class??
Thanks Lauren! I will use them as props, for our fast and slow dance or freeze dance. Also some aides for locomotor movements like skipping. I could also use them for connecting dancers together!
